Our Vehicles

Our Scout Group are lucky enough to own both a long wheel base transit van and a short wheel base transit minibus.

The transit van is available to other Scout or Guide Groups for use on Scout and Guide activities only as this is a restriction of our insurance policy. We also require you to hold no more than three points on your licence.

The minibus is a 15-seater 3.5 tone gross Transit. This can be driven by any adult over the age of 21 who has held a car driving licence for a minimum of 2 years, you do not need a minibus licence. You must be driving on a voluntary basis for social purposes by a non-commercial body. We also require you to hold no more than three points on your licence.

If you would like to loan one of our vehicle’s we would be grateful for a donation to cover the maintenance and running of them. Any drivers will be required to provide their driving licence which we will take a copy of for our records, you will also need to complete our loan form.

To book the van or the minibus, please check the calendar below to make sure the vehicle is not already booked out and then click here to download our vehicle loan form and complete as much of the form as possible. Please also generate a driving licence check code from the DVLA website by clicking here, you will need to click “share your licence information” and then “get a code” and finally “print or save a driving summary” before emailing both the form and driving licence check code summary to, the remainder of the form will be completed when you collect the vehicle.

Donations are as follows:

Transit Van 2 Days – £50 (This is our minimum donation even if you want it for a shorter time.)

Transit Van 3 Days – £75

Transit Van 4 Days – £90 + £15 per additional day.

Minibus 1 Day – £50

Minibus 2 Days – £90

Minibus 3 Days – £120 + £35 per additional day.
