About us

About Us

61st Cardiff Scout Group was formed in November 1934 and has been offering Scouting to young people for over 80 years. We have a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and a Scout Troop all of which meet at Park End church on a Monday evening during term time.

We have great links with Park End Church and many of our leaders are members of the church. We are very lucky as a group to be able to offer kayaking, canoeing and archery in house with our own equipment and instructors as well as the usual activities you would expect from any Scout Group like camping, hiking, pioneering and other outdoor activities.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
